Everything you need to know about using TixTreasure to find the best ticket prices
TixTreasure is a free ticket price comparison platform that helps you find the best deals on event tickets by comparing real-time prices from 7+ major resale marketplaces and box office sources. We aggregate ticket listings from TickPick, Seatics-powered sites (TicketClub, GoodSeatTickets, etc.), StubHub, ATG Tickets, OvationTix, and Showare. Our system updates prices every 10 minutes and shows you complete all-in pricing with every fee included upfront, so you can make informed decisions without visiting a dozen different websites.
No, TixTreasure does not sell tickets directly. We are a price comparison tool only. When you find tickets you like on our platform, you click through to the original seller's website (TickPick, StubHub, etc.) to complete your purchase. All ticket sales, fulfillment, customer service, and refunds are handled by the marketplace you choose to buy from. We simply help you find and compare the best prices across multiple sources in one place.
TixTreasure earns revenue through affiliate commissions from some of the ticket marketplaces we link to. When you click through our site and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. This affiliate model allows us to keep TixTreasure completely free for users while maintaining our data infrastructure. Importantly, we show you prices from all sources regardless of commission rates — our goal is to help you find the best deal, not to push you toward specific marketplaces.
Yes, TixTreasure is 100% free to use. There are no subscription fees, no hidden charges, and no accounts required for basic browsing. All features including price comparison, interactive seatmaps, price history charts, and price alerts are available at no cost. You'll only pay when you click through to a marketplace and choose to purchase tickets there, and that price is the same whether you found it through TixTreasure or went directly to the seller's website.
We strive for maximum accuracy by updating prices every 10 minutes from all integrated sources. However, ticket prices and availability can change rapidly on third-party marketplaces, especially for popular events. Our pricing data reflects the most recent information we've collected, but we always recommend verifying the final price on the seller's website before purchasing. If you notice a significant price discrepancy, you can use the "Refresh Prices" button on event detail pages to fetch the latest data (available once every 10 minutes per event).
TixTreasure runs automated price checks every 10 minutes for the most popular events and every 6 hours for comprehensive coverage across all events. We prioritize high-demand events (based on user interest and ticket activity) for more frequent updates. For events you're actively viewing, you can manually trigger a price refresh using the "Refresh Prices" button, which fetches the latest data from all sources in real-time. Our system processes over 100,000 price observations per day to keep our database current.
Different ticket marketplaces have different inventory sources, pricing strategies, and fee structures. Even for the same seat location, you might see variations because: (1) each marketplace has relationships with different ticket sellers/brokers, (2) some sources include box office tickets while others are resale-only, (3) delivery fees and service charges vary by platform (ranging from $0 on TicketClub to $15+ on some premium sources), and (4) pricing algorithms may factor in demand differently. TixTreasure normalizes these prices to show you the true all-in cost for accurate comparisons, including per-ticket breakdowns when per-order fees apply.
"All fees included" means the price you see on TixTreasure is the complete amount you'll pay at checkout — including ticket price, service fees, delivery fees, and any other charges. Many ticket sites show a low base price but add substantial fees at the final checkout step. We calculate and display the total upfront so you can make true apples-to-apples comparisons. For sources with per-order delivery fees (like $9.95 for multiple tickets), we show the per-ticket breakdown so you understand the cost whether you're buying 1 ticket or 4.
Our "best deal" indicators use multiple factors beyond just the lowest price. We calculate a value score that considers: (1) total all-in price compared to other sections, (2) seat location and sightlines, (3) proximity to the stage/field, (4) price relative to face value (when available), and (5) availability and ticket count. Listings marked as "best deal" typically offer above-average seating at below-average prices. The single "cheapest" listing shows the absolute lowest price available for the event, regardless of seat location. Sections within 15% of the cheapest price are marked as "amazing deal."
Price alerts let you set custom criteria and get notified when matching tickets become available or drop in price. You can create alerts using natural language (e.g., "Celtics tickets under $75 in balcony") or by clicking "Watch this event" on any event page. Our system checks for matches every 10 minutes during our automated price updates. When tickets meeting your criteria appear, you'll receive a notification via email or browser push notification (your choice) with a direct link to view the matching listings. You can manage all your alerts from the Price Alerts page.
Yes! Our natural language parser understands phrases like "Red Sox tickets under $50 in grandstand," "Hamilton orchestra seats less than $200," or "any concert at TD Garden below $30." You can specify event name, venue, performer, max price, seat section, quantity, and category. The system extracts these criteria automatically and monitors for matches. For more complex conditions, you can combine multiple criteria like "Taylor Swift tickets under $150 for 2 tickets in floor or lower bowl." Visit the Price Alerts page to test it out.
TixTreasure offers two notification methods: (1) Email notifications sent to the email address you provide when creating the alert, and (2) browser push notifications that appear on your desktop or mobile device (requires granting permission when prompted). You can choose one or both methods depending on your preference. Email notifications include full details and direct links to the matching tickets. Push notifications provide instant alerts with a quick preview, perfect for time-sensitive deals on popular events.
Notification speed depends on our price update frequency. For high-demand events that we check every 10 minutes, you could receive an alert within 10-15 minutes of a price drop. For standard events checked every 6 hours, notifications may take up to 6 hours. Once a match is detected, email notifications are sent immediately, and push notifications appear within seconds (assuming you have push enabled and your browser is open). Keep in mind that popular deals can sell out quickly, so we recommend enabling push notifications for the fastest response time.
To purchase tickets: (1) Browse events or use search to find the show you want, (2) click on the event to see seat-level pricing and interactive seatmaps, (3) review prices from all available sources and choose the best option for your budget and seating preference, (4) click the "Buy on [Marketplace]" button next to your chosen listing, and (5) complete your purchase on the seller's website (TickPick, StubHub, etc.). You'll be redirected to the marketplace with the specific listing preselected. All payment and ticket delivery is handled by the marketplace you choose.
Since TixTreasure doesn't handle ticket sales, all customer service issues must be resolved with the marketplace where you completed your purchase. If you have problems with ticket delivery, authenticity, refunds, or order modifications, contact the seller directly (TickPick support, StubHub customer service, etc.). Each marketplace has its own buyer protection policies and support teams. If you can't remember which marketplace you used, check your email confirmation or credit card statement, or contact us at [email protected] and we can help you identify the seller.
Ticket authenticity guarantees come from the marketplace you purchase from, not TixTreasure. We only link to reputable, established ticket platforms like StubHub, TickPick, VividSeats, and SeatGeek — all of which offer buyer protection and authenticity guarantees. Most major marketplaces provide 100% guarantees that your tickets are authentic and valid for entry, and will offer refunds or replacements if there are any issues. Always review the specific buyer protection policy of the marketplace you're buying from before completing your purchase.
Refund policies vary by marketplace and ticket type. Most resale marketplaces (StubHub, VividSeats, etc.) do not offer refunds for change of mind, but provide refunds or replacements if: (1) the event is cancelled and not rescheduled, (2) tickets are invalid or fraudulent, or (3) you don't receive your tickets in time. Some box office sources (ATG Tickets, OvationTix) may have different refund terms. Always check the specific refund policy on the seller's website before purchasing. TixTreasure cannot process refunds since we don't handle transactions.
TixTreasure currently focuses on the Boston and New York City metro areas, covering over 1,000 venues including major arenas (TD Garden, Madison Square Garden, Barclays Center), performing arts centers (Boston Symphony Hall, Lincoln Center), theaters (Broadway, Boston Opera House), sports stadiums (Fenway Park, Yankee Stadium), and community venues. We're actively expanding to additional cities — use the city filter to browse by metro area. Our coverage includes concerts, sports (MLB, NBA, NHL, college), Broadway/theater, comedy shows, and other live entertainment across all event categories.
Absolutely! We love hearing from users about venues and ticket sources they'd like to see added. If there's a venue in your area or a ticket marketplace we're not currently covering, please email us at [email protected] with details about the venue or source. Include the venue name/location or marketplace URL if possible. We evaluate all requests based on data availability, technical feasibility, and user demand. High-demand requests are prioritized in our development roadmap.
Box office tickets are sold directly by the venue or official ticket provider (Ticketmaster, venue websites, ATG Tickets, OvationTix) at face value, usually with minimal fees. These are the original "primary market" tickets. Resale tickets are sold by third-party sellers through secondary marketplaces (StubHub, TickPick, VividSeats, SeatGeek) and may be priced above or below face value based on demand. TixTreasure shows both types when available, so you can compare box office face value pricing against resale market prices. Sometimes resale tickets are cheaper than box office, especially for low-demand events or when sellers need to unload inventory quickly.
No account is required to browse events, compare prices, or view seatmaps. We use anonymous browser fingerprinting to remember your preferences (favorite cities, dismissed events, watched shows) locally without requiring registration. If you want to use price alerts with email notifications, you'll need to provide an email address when creating the alert, but there's no formal account signup. Your data is tied to your browser session and stored locally for privacy.
We take privacy seriously. TixTreasure uses anonymous browser fingerprinting (ThumbmarkJS) instead of traditional accounts, so we never collect names, addresses, or identifying information unless you voluntarily provide an email for alerts. We don't sell or share user data with third parties. When you click through to purchase tickets, you're subject to the privacy policy of the marketplace you're visiting. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
Our interactive seatmaps show you the exact seat locations and prices on a visual map of the venue. You can click on any section to see available tickets, hover over seats to preview pricing, and compare prices across different areas of the venue at a glance. Seatmaps are color-coded by price range and include indicators for "best deal," "cheapest," "few tickets left," and below-face-value pricing. This visual interface makes it much easier to find value than scrolling through text lists, especially for large venues with complex seating.
Yes! TixTreasure is fully responsive and works on smartphones and tablets. All features including event browsing, price comparison, interactive seatmaps, filters, and price alerts are optimized for mobile screens. The seatmap interface adapts to touch gestures for zooming and panning. You can also enable mobile push notifications for instant price drop alerts. Simply visit tixtreasure.com on your mobile browser — no app download required.
If an event isn't showing up, it could be due to a few reasons: (1) the event might be outside our current coverage areas (Boston/NYC metro), (2) it might not have tickets available yet on the marketplaces we monitor, (3) it could be a very small/local event not listed on major platforms, or (4) our scrapers haven't discovered it yet (we add new events multiple times daily). Try using the search function with different keywords. If the event exists on TickPick, StubHub, or other major sites and you think we should cover it, email [email protected] with details.
Seatmap availability depends on whether our data sources provide venue map configurations. We have seatmaps for most major venues (arenas, stadiums, large theaters) from sources like Seatics and StubHub. Smaller venues, community theaters, and some outdoor venues may not have seatmaps available. Even without a visual map, you can still view all available sections and prices in the ticket listings table. We're continuously working to expand seatmap coverage as we integrate additional data sources.
